The Developing Future Leaders programme covers all the key elements that are needed to be successful. By working through the programme the students will appreciate what they already have at their disposal – facilities, teachers, coaches, support etc. and that their success will be determined by what they do with the opportunity put in front of them.

One of the challenges facing all football academies is managing the expectations and aspirations of their students in a very competitive industry.peoplemad can help with this challenge by providing a programme of lessons that complement the formal education programme currently offered to students. It would be wrong to dampen enthusiasm, passion and dreams with difficult warnings about reality and the threat of being rejected or having a serious injury. The right approach is to get students to understand that there is a big world out there with lots of opportunities and that they can create their own future through hard work and dedication. The programme provides important lessons in life management (attitude, behaviour, building capability, leadership) as well as teaching some sound business principles that will form the basis of any career going forward. The messages in the programme are all about being accountable, taking control and importantly how to deal with other people. People skills are very much at the forefront. It is important that as they go through life they know how to manage themselves and other people. Surrounding themselves with the right managers, coaches, agents, financial advisors, mentors etc. is critical and they need to be savvy enough to understand the risks and value of the people they engage. Key lessons in business and finance will help them manage their affairs and prepare them for whatever exciting future lies ahead.

The aim of the programme is to make successful people, not just successful footballers and can be readily adapted for Football in the Community projects .

Tailored with your input to specifically suit the needs of your team. It creates a bond between mentors and mentees so that everyone benefits from the experience. The mentors get the opportunity to develop their leadership skills whilst passing on their knowledge and experience to the mentees, who in turn will get the opportunity to become a mentor in the future.

This programme can be used to complement the Developing Future Leaders and Leadership and Success programmes to create an environment where everyone helps each other to be successful using the same methodology and guiding principles.

This is the gel that binds everything together, providing encouragement and support on a shared journey of self improvement.
